- Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, the Chairman of the Central Sighting of the Crescent Committee of Pakistan, has announced that no proof of sighting of the moon of Ramadan has been received across the country, so the first fasting in the country will be on Sunday, March 2.After the meeting regarding the sighting of the Ramadan moon in Peshawar, the Chairman of the Central Viewing of the Crescent Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, in a press conference, said that the forecast remained cloudy in most places of Pakistan, the forecast was clear in some places, but no evidence of the sighting of the moon of the month of Ramadan was received from any place in the country, so it was decided by consensus that the first fast will be on Sunday,
March 2, 2025.The meteorological department also said that the moon of Ramadan is unlikely to be seen in the country today.
The meeting was attended by clerics as well as officers of Meteorology Department.
